Wondered if anyone had advice on putting together the written portion of a talk show pitch. I’ve been actually doing the show for about 6 months, and while I’m sure showing the episodes are helpful, I’d like to put together a complete, formal pitch. I know the general format for a television series pitch (plot, characters, episodes, etc) but how is that translated to the talk show format? Is it generally the same?

Did you see we JUST had a webinar on writing for Late Night TV? https://www.stage32.com/webinars/Breaking-Into-Late-Night-TV-as-a-Writer After learning how to script podcasts, I'm thinking you should include: a clear mission statement for the talk show, who you will be talking to and what about, who your audience is and what value your show brings to them, why you/why now, comps/differences, and then maybe a little about distribution - it would be helpful to know if you intend this to be live streaming or pre-recorded.
