Hello My Fellow Stage 32ers,
I’m taking a break from this platform. At least a year, maybe longer. My mental health is important to me, and it’s taken a dip for the worse since I’ve been back on Stage 32. And it’s my own fault for thinking that I would get support from my fellow creatives for my videos and directing work. I was wrong. With the exception of Maurice Vaughan and several others, I’ve been mostly IGNORED here. There are thousands of users on Stage 32, and I’ve only had ONE person join…for free. FREE! So, apparently, I’m not GOOD enough for the vast majority of users here.
So, with that said, I’m bowing out. Maybe when my financial situation improves I can come back and feel confident about being a user on Stage 32. But, as of this writing, I do NOT. The message sent to me by the thousands of users on this platform has been made crystal clear: We’re not interested in you, or your work. I still have respect for all of you, and wish you well, and I can’t make you support me, of course. I get it. I didn’t like supporting unknowns either, but I do now, as long as their work is INTERESTING.
We grow together. No egos. Best of luck to everybody, I’m out.
Hey, Nick Eff (Mandlamadi). Sorry to hear your mental health took a dip for the worse. I don't think people are ignoring you. I just think they're busy with projects, industry things, and life, so they might not be able to respond to your posts right away. And as you continue to build your network, you might get more responses on your posts. I hope your financial situation improves! And taking breaks for mental health is a great idea, but maybe for days, weeks, a month, or a few months instead of a year or longer. I think a year or longer is a really long time to be away from the creative community and the resources on Stage 32 that can help you in your career.

Hey Nick - it's a competitive industry and money talks for about everything. But that shouldn't let you get down in the dirt. I can't tell you how many times I failed and had no interest in my work. Happy to read one of your scripts anytime! Stay postive!
