Entry 023
This past week has been a whirlwind. So much has happened, and I’m still processing it all.
I visited an art club in the city, and it completely blew me away. The talent in that room was unreal—so many creative minds, each with their own unique approach. It reminded me just how powerful it is when artists come together. Now, all I can think about is the possibilities—the projects we could bring to life, the collaborations that could happen. The energy in that space was something special, and I know I need to stay connected. The best part? They meet every month, and if I can make it, I’ll be there every time.
I also met someone at the club who’s passionate about community building, and our conversation was one of the most inspiring I’ve had in a while. We met at an event on the 19th, and when we reconnected, we ended up talking for hours about education, history, and the importance of creating something meaningful—especially for people of color. Her energy was incredible, and she’s already introducing me to someone actively making change in the community. She even set up a time for us to talk. I won’t lie, I’m feeling a little nervous, but I’ve been in situations like this before. Whether the nerves are justified or not, I’m leaning into it—growth comes from stepping outside my comfort zone. This could be a major opportunity to expand what I’m building.
Meanwhile, I’ve been assembling a musical team for a project tied to the Detour Project. My friends who do music have a real talent for it, and I’m excited to see what they create together. I have some big ideas, and if this comes together the way I envision, it’s going to be something special. On top of that, I just got word that a friend might have a connection to help bring the footage together for the Detour concept. I’ll be checking out his work soon, and if it aligns, this could make everything flow a lot smoother—especially since I’m considering bringing in another company for the event.
Speaking of the event, I think I’ve found the right venue. I’m holding off on saying anything for now, but it feels like the right move. While I was checking it out, I also think I found the right camera person. The place itself has a great vibe, and I can already see myself fully locked in when the time comes. Things are moving fast, and I’m ready to see how it all plays out.
To top it off, I had a second meetup with my friend Nef from the art event. This time, our conversation went even deeper. She shared how excited she was about the idea of collaborating, and I made sure to clearly lay out my vision. It’s refreshing to talk to people who genuinely understand and see the bigger picture.
Throughout all of this, I’ve been preparing something special for the event. There have been a few unexpected detours, but that’s just part of the journey. As things keep coming together, I can feel the momentum building. It’s only a matter of time before everything falls into place exactly as it should.

Hey, Samuel Chambers. Congratulations on all the progress with your projects! You're right. Growth does come from stepping outside your comfort zone. It's like that when I write a genre I'm not used to writing, do live pitches, etc. Hope you found the right venue and camera person!

This is a great share Samuel Chambers and I love your focus on collaboration. We miss out when we focus on our own goals as opposed to fostering relationships and collaborating. I get that - this week has been insanely busy for me but I sure do miss interacting with folks here when that happens.Congratulations on all you've accomplished. You're just getting started!
