The Film Making Saga

Entry 025

This past week has been full—emotionally, creatively, and mentally. I’ve been deep in the work, especially around creating promo content, and I’ve honestly been enjoying the process more than I expected. There’s something about seeing ideas come to life and being intentional about who I bring into the fold—it’s energizing. The creative side of me has been wide awake, and I’ve been riding that wave.

A big moment this week was connecting with Drew. I ended up connecting with him while I was talking to Greg—perfect timing, really. He jumped into the conversation just as Greg and I were chatting. He’s into film too, and there was this easy alignment with the energy and vision. Shoutout to Greg for making that link happen. Greg and I had a really solid conversation too. He told me this whole thing reminded him of the kinds of moves they used to make back in the day—but with more intention, more focus. That stuck with me. When someone who’s been through it sees you and affirms your direction, it means something.

On top of that, we’re nearly locked in with a full roster for the event. Every time I sit down to work, I realize how big this is becoming—not just in scale but in meaning. There’s a purpose behind it, and knowing I’m not alone in building it makes all the difference. Every new piece falling into place adds momentum.

Another highlight was connecting with Bianca. We met earlier in the week, and from the jump, her energy was undeniable. She’s all about uplifting creatives—and our visions clicked instantly. She’s working on something powerful, and I can already see how what she’s building is going to bring people together in a way that matters. It’s one of those connections you don’t take for granted.

I also carved out a little time to visit the Ringling Museum for the first time. That place… man, it’s stunning. Way bigger than I imagined, and so much to take in. I didn’t expect to be moved the way I was. That experience reminded me why art—whether visual, musical, or movement-based—matters. It sticks with you.

Now, with the USS event rolling out, I’m right in the middle of everything. Time feels like it’s accelerating. Days are folding into each other, and the pressure is real—but so is the excitement. I’m catching glimpses of the finish line, thinking about how it’s going to feel once this is all in motion, out in the world. I keep picturing that version of myself who gets to exhale, look back, and say, Yeah, we really did that.

There’s been a lot of growth lately. I feel it in my decisions, in how I lead, in how I ask for help. I’m not trying to rush the process, but I also know things are happening fast—and for a reason. I’m just staying open, grounded, and locked in. One step at a time, this thing is becoming real—and something about it feels bigger than me.

And that? That’s what keeps me going.

Hey, Samuel Chambers. Congratulations on connecting with Drew, nearly locking in with a full roster for the event, and all the process you made this week! And thanks for writing yesterday's blog. I came up with a script idea from it.
