Found an incredible script, got attached as a producer. Some issues in the script are easy to resolve but there's a dream sequence that has me on the fence, the writer did not write it as a dream and I feel I should spell it out before I take it to the dev execs's readers. This is not a low budget. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a director on board? Just ask a director like-minded to who you have in mind.to direct it or the director you do have in mind seems like a good icebreaker question to get them on board. I don't know personally but it seems like a logical step. Definitely no genius here though. You did say you were producer and not director though. Stories are dreams and if it is a fantasy; why would it matter? Perhaps mark it as a fantasy sequence instead of dream to keep writer happy. Hope I was more helpful than not as much of my logic is failed logic. LOL
Thank you all for your insightful comments. Since it doesn't really add suspense we'll probably spell it out. I don't need to confuse their reader. It's comedy based on a play and the audience picked up on the dream immediately. Thank you all once more.
