Not sure what to post about, to be honest. I'm a 59-year-old guy who's been a professional writer for many years and is finally writing scripts like he should have been doing a million years ago. I actually wrote a spec script for "Starsky & Hutch" when I was 15 and got a nice note back from the story editor encouraging me to keep writing. I did keep writing, just not scripts. So I spent many years in PR, journalism and academia, paying the bills and raising a family. But in the past year or so I've written two pilots and I'm working on a couple of features. I've gotten great feedback and encouragement from pros, including here on Stage32, and I've entered some contests and taken some incredible classes, so we'll see where it takes me. I think I have the chops to sell some stuff. :-) Cheers. -- Larry

Thanks for posting Larry Portzline! Like Craig says I am sure your insights are going to be incredibly valuable to up-and-coming screenwriters who need encouragement from guys like you who have gone through the wringer of this industry. Please keep posting! And keep us posted on your progress as well.
