InkTip

Has anyone here ever used InkTip.com? I'm considering listing a feature script there and would love to hear of successes or failures.

Bill Hunter

I haven't used it, but I have subscribed. I read the newsletter and seems to be a good place.

Richard "RB" Botto

Hey Sue. If you go to the main Lounge page and use the search feature, you'll find quite a few threads on this subject. Good luck.

Robert John Chapman

Hi Sue, have been using it for a while now. Good site. Lots of opportunities and good responses from the team who run it. You might also look at Virtual Pitch Fest. Bob

I've sold a feature through InkTip. As RB mentioned, this has been asked before. Still, I think it is always good to give me an opportunity to mention: I've sold a feature through InkTip. :)

Richard "RB" Botto

Happy to help, Kathy. Always good to ask again as these threads do move quick, but I just wanted to point you to that feature.

Richard "RB" Botto

And good on you, Kerry! Congrats!

Jorge J Prieto

I've used INKTIP to post scripts. I like them have had request for scripts but no success. Right now I'm not active with them as far a dues $$$. It's $60 for six months as you might already know.

Sue Melanson

Found some, RB. Thanks! I wasn't aware of the search feature, either. And thanks to everyone else. I'll give it a shot and see what transpires.

Richard "RB" Botto

Excellent, Sue.

There are pros and cons to Inktip. First, you need to know what type of films are being produced: http://inktip.com/main_films_produced.php?cat=ep&scat=credits They mainly seem to be low budget to very low budget films, aimed at Netflix and other pay per view channels. If you have something, that fits that mold and want to get exposure, great.

Kerry Douglas Dye

Yeah, good point, Eion. I wouldn't post my $100 million blockbuster on InkTip.

Danny Manus

Exactly. If you've got a $7M or under project, InkTip can be great and they have gotten a large number of movies made. However, if it's a budget bigger than that, you're probably better off using other avenues.

Sue Melanson

So it sounds like a good resource for someone starting out.

Hello Sue, I used to have a script or two on Inktip. Kerry and Danny are right: if its a lower budget indie film, then I suggest you give it a shot. Jerrol LeBaron and his staff are very polite and willing to give pointers and tips on how to maximize your listing. They also have great examples and articles on the site to help you out. I'm currently working with a producer on some projects, and he says wonderful things about Jerrol.
