Screenwriting : New Idea by Sergey Velichko

New Idea

I had a dream about a new script last night. Genre: Sci-fi. Setting: The distant future. All people undergo a genetic therapy, which makes them super pros at their profession. It is a society of specialists, which are losing their humanity. Logline: To catch a serial killer, a specialist-investigator travels to an extraterrestrial colony and finds the proof of the existence of God. What do you think?

Jeffrey Stackhouse

The logline, itself, is a very catchy idea. Kinda Garth Ennis Preacher tinged with a police thriller aspect. Luck to you. And stop throwing your brand new ideas at people you don't know, lol.

Sergey Velichko

Thank you Jeffrey. I have not seen Preacher, thanks for the tip. About ideas. I tend to believe that it's a really cheap product, isn't it?))) Only the implementation of the idea has a price.

Jeffrey Stackhouse

Yes, absolutely; anyone can ruin a good idea, lol. Preacher is a comic by Ennis, being developed by Seth Rogan for AMC. No need to worry; my comparison was a good thing, not a stumbling block.

Sergey Velichko

Thank you Jim! But... Are you sure about "only need two"? I really like the way all three concepts are connected.

Sergey Velichko

I suppose you're right. Unfortunately, I have a tendency to an unnecessary complication. Thank you Jim

Stuart Clarke

I like it! Dreams are complicated though. You've got to separate your story from your dream.

Sergey Velichko

Thank you Stuart. I'll try.

Sergey Velichko

I thought the killer is a member of the Resistance. They are struggling for humanity. That's right. Man from birth is doomed to be a specialist in the fact that his parents have chosen based on the analysis. I think not. I have not thought about it. After all, it was a dream!)

Sergey Velichko

I will let you know. Stay tuned for updates!
