On the 20th of November Wildcat Media will be hosting a one day intensive course on writing for film in our Central Glasgow studio. The class will be run by award winning writer James McCreadie. An experienced and knowledgeable screenwriter with a long history of writing for both film and television. Tickets cost £79 per person and includes a buffet Lunch, tea and coffee. The class will run from 9.30am until 4.30pm. James McCreadie James started writing in 1995, while still studying to be an actor. He has always written with his wife, Debbie May, and by 1998, had, without representation, sold their first film script, Willy's Dream, to the BBC. Since then James has written for TV shows such as Doctors, Fair City and River City. His love, however, lies in film and has made the conscious decision to step away from TV writing for now to concentrate on that part of his career. James, along with Debbie, had their first feature made in 2011. Fast Romance went on to win the Cineworld Audience Award at the 2011 Scottish BAFTAS, and the directors choice award at the 2012 Starlite Film Festival in Florida. Since then, James and Debbie have broadened their genre horizons and moved into scifi. Their first script in this genre, Insodus, earned them representation in both LA and London. Since then they have penned one more scifi, Lonestar, as well as a comedy, Numbers Up, which, in 2015, was optioned along with another comedy script. They have also just penned a commissioned treatment for the harrowing WW2 POW drama, Camp 21. As this is being written, their 21 year old short film script, Crime, is in post production and will premier at film festivals early in 2016. He lives in Rhu with Debbie, and their demanding cat, Cassie.
