Young adult content? I'm going to guess between the 16 to 30 age range. By the way, welcome to the club. :)

My guess was 12-18 for YA because of the classification for books but for features 18-25 is my guesstimate. It may depend on the content, level of violence and sexual situations.

When I think Young Adult audience, I think Hunger Games, Twilight, Spontaneous, Superbad, etc - the sort of fiction that involves pure escapism, with minimal grounded real-world subject matter, intended for the Middle School-to-College Age groups, but often attracting older audiences.
If 30-40 year olds can enjoy Harry Potter, The Last Airbender, or Runaways, you're sure to have a hit on your hands.
