Greetings fellow writers
I was recently asked to send over my screenplay after submitting the pitch to a producer through Stage 32. I'm wondering if I should dig in and learn about option and sales contracts or is it always best to get representation if this goes further?
Thanks and Happy Memorial Day!

The Year of Jubilee (Inspired by a true story):
A cash poor, hard-working family is cheated out of thousands of acres of prime, seaside land until a long-buried discovery brings sweet justice to the family’s descendants more than 150 years later.

Sounds good to me.
Congratulations on the script request, BL Gabriel!
It's great to dig in and learn about option and sales contracts. Here's an on-demand webinar you might wanna check out: www.stage32.com/education?p=8944841851187
I've heard about writers getting representation for one-time deals, so it could help you to get a rep if this goes further.
Hope the script request leads to a sale! Happy Memorial Day!

Thanks Jason. Good to know!
Ask if the company that wants to see your work will help you with copyright stuff and you can mail a copy to yourself, and a friend. You can also post on writer's Facebook pages, like Writers Helping Writers, Creative Writing etc. all great people ans mucho help. You can also take your phone and just sit and shoot yourself talking about your story.
Thanks George!

it is just a read request; dont stress/overthink. if there is money, reps will take your call since you are putting money in their pockets. GL
