I found this great video on a therapist breaking down couples fighting in different films, and it just makes me wonder - did the writer gain these insights from their own experience at therapy? What have you learned from your own mental health journey and found helpful in exploring your characters' journeys?
So hard to watch, but so good to analyze! LOL

I love these. GQ, Vanity Fair, and Insider all do similar videos where they have experts critique scenes from movies. I especially like the sword fighting, historical accuracy ones.

why isn't iron man, breaking bad nor more newly added "vacation friends" included in this also the beginning love story in Disney's 'Up' legit made me cry lol
I feel you, Cushan Jon - that opening for UP _always_ gets me teary, and now that Ed Asner has passed, I feel sure I will BALL MY EYES OUT! :-( Oh, and I think there are several episodes of this, so there may be more examples LOL
Here in Balkans we do not fancy therapists so much...we deal with it within or simply start an ethnic war...or do a script :)
I actually just had therapy just this afternoon, so I might need to take a second before I watch this? But I am SUPER super intrigued, Kay. What a find!
I think what I've learned from therapy on better communication has been useful to my writing. Using "you" vs. "I" approach to conversing can show a difference in maturity between two characters. Or using one or more of the low blows can be an actual loud beat in a script.
