OPEN CALL FOR SCREENWRITERS – INDUSTRY-LEVEL SUBMISSION
We're looking for brilliant screenwriters to help bring a visionary project to life.
We're developing a high-concept Netflix series inspired by the Guinness World Record-holding artist Gérard Di-Maccio (1.2M+ followers, "Knight of the Arts", 20+ presidential medals). Think Pan’s Labyrinth meets The Queen’s Gambit, wrapped in a surreal, emotionally grounded universe and starring me, his daughter (Mona-Lisa Di-Maccio)
We’re in talks with talents like Gary Oldman, Hans Zimmer, Mecia Simson, David Tennant and more.
We’re also currently in contact with major agencies like Curtis Brown, United Agents, and The Agency — so competition is high. Please only submit your best, industry-standard work.
- You’ll receive moodboards, writer's brief and supporting documents
- Submissions will include:
A 1-page concept outline (with emotional arc, logline, key themes)
Optional: Sample scenes or previous writing credits
This is not just a writing gig — it’s a chance to co-create something visually iconic, emotionally epic, and artistically bold. The winning writer will collaborate closely with myself and the production team to further develop ideas and the pitch package.
- Genre: Surreal, grounded fantasy / psychological drama
- Target: Netflix, A24-level tone — not just for fans of fantasy, but for fans of human storytelling
-Audience: For lovers of flawed human stories wrapped in a poetic, immersive world
-Style references: Black Swan, The Queen’s Gambit, Circe, The Witcher, Pan’s Labyrinth, Baby Reindeer.
-Themes: light and dark feminine energy, obsession, perfectionism, love and longing, mastery, coming of age, healing, grey morality.
If this speaks to you, please email submissions@molocam-studios.com and we’ll send over the brief.
Writers, we truly can’t wait to discover your worlds.
