Picture Cars?

Hey all, I've been looking in to this for a while now but thought I might ask my fellow pros and see if anyone knows what steps I should take next. I have been an effects artist and prop maker for the past few years and now working as a costumer but realized fairly quickly that these didn't have to be separate from my love of cars. My father and I are both avid car guys and have amassed a rather nice little collection, and I'm wondering if now isn't the time to diversify and make them available as picture cars? I've already taken the first step, by purchasing a nice picture quality piece, a 1963 Checker Taxi that was used on Mad Men. Now I'm completely unsure how to get it out there! The guy I bought it from promised to teach me the basics but then flaked on me.

With my experience with some larger than life props and access to sculptors and mold-makers, we could also design and construct rolling props and vehicles as well! I don't want to be a one trick pony!

Thee are companies that exist that provide this service to the industry. It's their bread and butter. Unless you want to deal directly with a production company, probably better to register with such an agency and have both you interests and your vehicles protected.
