Obtuse Angles

Obtuse Angles is an audio-visual installation from Stranger in the Alps (Duncan Hendy – composer, David Konečný – visuals). Taking its visual elements from British cinematography, extracting them, remixing them, combining them, omitting them, obscuring them live. The piece celebrates the work of those Obtuse Angles that painted with light, many times artistically out of step with Hollywood. The music is a minimalist wasteland populated by the disjointed rhythm and melodic misdirection that the visuals inspire. Visuals by David Konecny Score composed by Duncan Hendy Performed by the Indigo Quartet / violins: Jan Bělohlávek, Martin Flašar, viola: Martina Himerová, cello: Pavel Borský + piano: Jana Nevoralová Premiered on 15 March 2015 in Adam Gallery, Brno, Czech Republic Produced by Stranger in the Alps Productions and Martin Večeřák
