I’m really excited to share the news of our Netflix premiere of… The Stand at Paxton County. I had the pleasure of writing the film for ESX – Forrest Films and am truly honored to have been involved with such a professional, creative, and supportive team. This true story is of U.S. Army combat medic, Janna Connelly who is summoned home from the frontlines in Afghanistan to help her father after he has fallen ill. Once home, she quickly sees their once-pristine ranch in disrepair and the local Sheriff, along with his nefarious and well-resourced associates, targeting his livestock and way of life. Based on the true story of South Dakota livestock rancher Gary Dassinger the story explores how well-oiled forces are now working to subvert the U.S. Constitution by the writing of state and local-ordinances as a pretense to make the land they live on impossible to keep. The film stars Christopher McDonald, Jacqueline Tobani, Michael O’Neill and Tyler Jacob Moore.
