The josiah awakens (2015) | Gregory Lawson

This was a fun short I made when The Force Awakens was newly released and just before I moved to Los Angeles. A friend of mine, the one who appears in the video, had never seen Star Wars before, so this short movie was a product of his new exploitation to the series. This project was also fueled by wanting to figure out how to make lightsaber FX in After Effects, which turned out to be incredible fun learning experience. I shot this solely on a Canon 70D with a Sigma Art 18-35mm lens. If you're wondering, he now loves Star Wars! But that's just obvious.
