I'm Alexander Sutton-Hough, a Director of Photography and owner of Sutton-Hough Cinematography LLC based in Los Angeles. As a cinematographer, I pride myself on my ability to I'm Alexander Sutton-Hough, a multi-disciplinary Director of Photography based in Los Angeles with a background in narratives, commercials, music videos, experimental shorts, corporate videos and everything in between. I’ve collaborated with a range of directors and artists, as well as commercial clients like NBC, Syfy, Golden Road, Microsoft, and more to bring their visions to light. I pride myself on my ability to problem solve, whether it be lighting a difficult space, working within a limited budget, or sourcing the perfect tools to push a project to the next level, even if it means building them myself. I am constantly looking for ways to streamline and have put together a practical camera, grip, and lighting kit that can take on any small production at a moment's notice so that even on a tight budget, I don't compromise quality. Each project I take on is viewed as a creative partnership and I strive not just to capture beautiful images, but tell the story in the best way possible. I don’t stick to one style, but create a look specific to each film. The cinematography is the narrator and I allow it to act and react to the flow of the narrative. I am fully vaccinated and able to cater my production set-up for any COVID protocols needed on set.
