New c d pitch... did universal do it wrong? | Artisan James

Every time I pitch this to someone the response has been overwhelming, although nobody has read it yet. I do have a draft ready to go and the timing I feel is perfect for this... as C D meshes both the slasher experience and the creature feature simultaneously, it pays homage to both and it even introduces a new kind of horror villain. I feel we need something that takes the traditional slasher to a new level while introducing some new kind of horror villain or monster and that is actually scary.. in which there is some new hook implemented in the piece that could have word of mouth potential due to how scary it is... I wanted to write something that we horror fans have been potentially searching for and waiting on for decades and that we wouldn't hesitate to see/ experience if we were to ever get glimpses of it, accompanied by the title... as C D is inspired by all of our favorites- Chainsaw. Halloween. Friday. Nightmare. Candyman. Scream. Predator... as well as Universal's classic monsters and more... but is also it's own new thing at the same time... it's scary, it's ambitious, it elevates the traditional slasher and it meshes both the slasher & creature feature simultaneously, which I have yet to see any examples of...
