"work from home" short film | Daniel Duane

I wrote, directed, and produced this short. It was inspired by my day job. I work for a phone company that caters to seniors and often get calls from customers who state they've been called by unscrupulous telemarketers. That often proves to be the case. Sadly, some of them call after they've already given sensitive information to them over the phone. I scouted for the film location on my own by running an online ad and got very lucky when a realtor from Valley Center responded. He rents out his estate on a regular basis and he's open to having more production companies use his property. I found the crew and the actress online as well. The crew was locally based in San Diego; but Christina Carabajal, the actress, was from L.A. In fact, she was the only one. We completed the entire shoot in one day.
