The Halfway Place is a small welsh ghost story about one man's deepening paranoia as he starts to believe a man in a faceless white mask is following him everywhere. Inspired by the TV series Twin Peaks and the work of M.R. James, this film is a dialogue free short film. Sam Mounter has noticed something strange. During the past few weeks, a tall man wearing a faceless white mask has started appearing everywhere he goes. Into Sam's possession comes a 300 year old book wherein a faded map may or may not hold the answers to all of Sam's questions about the man. And time is short. For the one thing Sam Mounter knows is that the more time he takes in figuring out the connection, the more the faceless man appears to be getting closer and closer.
