-> password for STAGE32 members: outremer This is a short promo for an upcoming industrial film for Saudi Aramco and Sinopec Ltd. about the exploration work they are doing deep in the Saudi Arabian desert of Rub al-Khali (or "The Empty Quarter". 400 kilometers away from everything, within sand dunes 350 meters high, they look for oil without damaging nature, using only sound waves emitted from special trucks that look like vehicles you'd expect on Mars. The footage for this clip was filmed in late November 2013 in the Saudi Arabian part of the Rub al-Khali desert (Empty Quarter). We used two Canon 5D Mark III (in "faithful" mode), the footage in the teaser is NOT color corrected. director DIRK VAN DEN BERG camera: ARUL JAYAPRABATHAN camera assistant: GOPAL CHOZHIYAM With gratitude to all the staff of SINOPEC in Ramlah 62: without you, this film would have been impossible. And with very special thanks to GUOLAI WANG.
