UPDATE / June 11, 2014
Today, we had the avant-premiere of our film JAMMING ADDIS in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We were invited as the closing film of the Addis International Documentary Festival. Very exciting to show the film first in the country and the city where it was done - to basically bring it back....

UPDATE / June 1, 2014
Our film about music in Addis is now called JAMMING ADDIS. The whole film was done like a jazz jam-session, so this title is so much better than the old "Swinging Addis".

UPDATE / december 31, 2013
So excited: today we travel to Addis Ababa, to begin filming our new documentary "Swinging Addis" about the vibrant music scene of Ethiopia. Our goal will be to connect the past - especially the Ethio Jazz period of the 1970s - with the present.

RESUME

Internationally experienced producer and line-producer for feature films, documentaries and television.

I am "specialized" in so-called difficult projects that have to be done in risky territories and have a proven track-record as trouble-shooter in case of diplomatic issues between partners. I develop, write, produce and direct feature films, television and documentaries, and radio magazines and features. As a line-, associate and executive producer I work with national and international broadcasters, agencies and production companies.

I studied at the film academy in Rome, Italy, where until 2006 was my base. Since then I moved back to Berlin, Germany to expand my professional and (hopefully also) intellectual horizon.

Unique traits: I love challenges. If someone tells me "this is impossible to do" I will prove them wrong. And film in Afghanistan during the war, in Iraq during the occupation, in Syria during the civil war or in Saudi Arabia in the most secret place the country has...
