About Nicole

Nicole Czarnecki was born at St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland on January 23, 1990. Having stayed in St. Agnes' NICU for 75 days, Czarnecki came home with her parents on April 7, 1990 (and 25 years since she came home will have passed on April 7, 2015). Needless to say, she has had quite a life since January 23-April 7, 1990, let alone within successive time periods. Part of her life includes the facts that she is a delegitimized descendant of Edgar Allan Poe's foster father (John Allan; about whom sheadmits that she has mixed feelings based on what she understand about him) and a somehow-distant relative of Kirk and Michael Douglas (also about whom she has mixed feelings based on what she understands; and she just thought that "Danilovich" was Kirk Douglas' patronymic! She had no idea that "Katarzyna" Daniłowiczówna Czerniecka of Krasne, Poland was a Crypto-Jewish cousin of the Daniloviches from Chausy, Belarus!).

She is also a relation to a whole host of other notable people (She notes that the Allan/Allen family legend about John Allan was that he was some great-granduncle of her mother, Cecilia Allen Czarnecki; and that she never knew that she is Jewish, let alone a relative of the Danilovich-Demsky Family who became Douglases, until she was much older.).

She gets much of her desire and fodder for writing what stories she does make up from the stories and other factors in her life that she just can't make up (and she hastens to mention that, for example, she at first thought that someone else on had made the wrong connection between John Allan and Charles Allan, the paternal grandfather of her mother's paternal grandfather!). She also gets her creativity and imagination from mostly her father (whom, to say the least, would be a great author if he used his gifts and talents for good and noble purposes!).

Currently, she lives in the Jewish Diaspora in Baltimore, Maryland, from where she hopes to make aliyah someday. While she's planning to and working toward making aliyah, she hopes to share her unique story, write down her unique story and unique stories that are inspired by her own story, and help others discover their stories and do good with and because of them (and let her just say that she didn't know her real story from especially her paternal side for a long time!).
