If you look at the horror films we are getting now (remakes included) there is a bridge we have yet to cross, and as a longtime fan of the genre... I want more! ...I want that original EVENT horror thriller that just comes out of nowhere, topples the competition, is based on nothing, has that original villain that we can finally be excited for and that can both scare and captivate on an all new level... is slasheresque in nature -- but goes BEYOND the traditional slasher and has a little more scope to it... a little more ambition... has characters that we actually care about, has this extraordinary aspect to it, has mystery, has suspense, has tension, has it all!... and is actually SCARY.
