Anthony Calleja's Photo Aloha Everyone! Good Morning! I thought I would share a few images from my last visit to Malta. I love Marsaxlokk. It's an amazing place. All of the colorful Maltese Luzzu on the water. I was mesmerized by the rainbow of traditional fishing boats ambling on the water and all the eyes staring at you from their bows. The all-seeing eye or the eye of Horus. They are said to protect the fishermen while at sea. The design of the Luzzu, like that of another Maltese boat, the dgħajsa, is believed to date back to Phoenician times. The design has survived because it tends to be sturdy and stable even in bad weather.
