I was really young when this one came out but I still remember the hype around it... especially when it came to the film's infamous ending and the quick snippet we'd get of another notorious horror icon... or more specifically his GLOVED HAND coming out of the earth!
The film (1993) is really silly at times and is not particularly scary... but it still remains a fun watch and is even well shot and well acted. It also has some great kills and practical and make-up effects... The film also started a trend when it came to it's TAGLINE-- stating that it would be the final one in the franchise (I take that as the final movie in the franchise) with timeline not really being a thought or concern back then like it is now with franchises such as (Aliens, Predator, Terminator, & Halloween) And although JASON GOES TO HELL didn't really lie... there was still 3 other installments after this one, including the 2009 reboot.
Another thing to note is the METALLIC MASK on the poster... and it's it's mirror-like sheen. Pretty cool but it was never featured in the film itself and was only depicted on the poster art and in marketing... but the demon-like snake and the flames were... hmmm...
