Andrew Man’s Tego Arcana Dei is an incredibly ambitious book, the second in a series with dozens of characters, a grand scale impacting no less than the fate of the universe, and a densely layered mythology with only the tip of the proverbial iceberg revealed thus far. The author has expressed his preference for a television adaptation, and that is without a doubt the right choice. Man’s book offers enough material to sustain at least a season of television, and a great jumping off point for many seasons more. However, some changes in the adaptation process are necessary to allow for the best possible television pilot built out of Man’s source materials.
