Hi everyone my name is Adam Mawson I've been writing on & off for the last 6 years. I came up with a great idea for a Sci-fi Drama which I have been writing now for sometime, called Abduction I have a clear vision of what I would like to see which is a good advantage I also have the filming location which is a Village in the UK called Baildon in West Yorkshire. I came up with the idea of making a pitch trailer, to show people my vision of what it may look like. I filmed the scenes for this using my Iphone 4S and taught myself how to use Final Cut pro HD, Adobe After effects, plus Video Co-pilot. Keeping in mind that making a trailer for something that doesn't exist is virtually impossible anyway. I filmed that nights shots in daytime and used VFX to make them look like there shot at night, as the Iphone 4S isn't great at filming in the dark. I'll be honest my punctuation and grammar isn't that great but working with other writers with the ideas I have and creative vision could make this something pretty special..

Thanks Andrew so you know Baildon? The scenery is perfect with the moorland being so close to the village.
Adam, the trailer is awesome! I really like your angle of the pedophile getting blamed - I actually wrote a screenplay centering on a 1985 abduction, and there's some bogus blame that gets tossed around in my story as well. Well done!

The scenery and setting is superb. Although, the Centre of the Known Universe is just over the dale in Pateley Bridge. Surely the aliens would strike there first? ;-) I'm now based in the south but if I can help in any way, please let me know.

Trailer is visually very similar to Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind, though the story is obviously different. Great sound.
I know I mentioned this already, Adam, but after numerous conversations I had with producers and managers down at SXSW including on the two panels Stage 32 hosted, I can't stress enough that: A - You took the time to film this yourself and teach yourself the editing software and B - You took it upon yourself to create a proof of concept. This is how you take your career into your own hands. Impressive.

I would really like this to become a reality I will keep moving forward, with the short film then hopefully it will get noticed for its true potential of being a feature film or TV series. And thanks again man you've made my day.
