Hi Stage 32 friends! I am looking for a summer internship. My many attempts at emailing resumes, portfolios, and calling up film companies has been unsuccessful. I am a sophomore in college and struggling to work my way into the industry; it’s all very new to me. I know many of you are active in the industry and there are many of you that need some volunteer help. I will do my best in any position I am placed in. Hi Rebekah, I know I'm late answering you. I'm not sure where you're based. But when I've hired interns in the past, I've looked for people who state they are in LA or those who tell me, for example, "I'll be in LA on June 1." Otherwise, the executive or the intern coordinator won't want to waste time interviewing prospective interns who may or may not actually show up in LA for the summer. You may have to commit to being in LA or NYC before you have an internship offer.
