Hey all. Just recently was turned onto this site. Very excited about all info here and all of the creative talent I see. I was in a crazy car wreck where I flipped a few times a little over a year ago. Soon after I had the bug to start writing and have written a full length drama feature "The Path of Redemption", and getting ready to shoot a short SciFi pilot "The God Code" in (hopefully) May. After living in LA for many years and many friends in the business (I have worked in entertainment as audio eng. / production) Took the DOV S-S Simens film school course online to get a better idea ... I thought I had a grip on this until I started actually doing the script breakdown, budget ... aarrrrggg! Fortunately found a DOP that is helping me now. I will be looking for talent / casting co. , fx / modeler for one very short segment, and some other key below the line positions soon. You're definitely in the right spot to learn, improve your writing, find cast and crew, and get your project made. Thanks Shannon. Just got the go ahead to put budget together for my short. We are shooting in May and definitely be looking for BTL talent.
