Well it seems we have a great Italian-Sicilian team then :-) Lets all get together and make it happen! I would love to have my own made to measure sitcom:-) If you know anyone interested please get in touch! Giuseppe, I actually have an Italo-Canadian project ready to pitch called I CALL IT HOME. It features a "Sciosciaro" family (like mine) with a matriarch a la Sophia Loren. A version of it is posted here in Loglines.
Unfortunately, that photo doesn't really take us (semi-) Sicilians very far from "The Sopranos", does it? Maybe something like "My Big Greek Wedding" or a sitcom centered on a Sicilian pizzaria. I recommend Chicago!
Hi and welcome. I look forward to the sitcom. I think I have seen you in this Lounge with a funny beard? What about covering your face with scars , and wearing a long white coat with trilby, for your sitcom. " Lentini never followed family rules...he made them. Anyone disagreeing with his wardrobe was toast. Sidekick Joey dished out his departures list with relish......" Sorry lads, imagination carrying me away!
Oh, it's Canadian! (Thanks, Marisa.) This character is inconceivable for Hollywood conventional wisdom: "FERRIS is south from the pristine woodlands of Algonquin, he worked with his First-Nations, buddy Makeewa as an Ecology Stewart (Forest Ranger) and is a party-boy playboy." Far out! First of all, an Italian immigrant family with a kid named Ferris? Far out! And all of it is far out! I hope it takes off in Canada, and then we'll have a chance of seeing it in the U.S. Honestly, I tremble to think how much a Hollywood producer would change it before putting it on the air. (Maybe "CSI: Algonquin", ha ha ha!) Maybe a web series....

And yeah, where's our Blackish or Fresh Off the Boat. You know, and Italian sit-com with an insulting title! ;)

across the bottom of the big profile picture, in the red banner, the second tab from the end is labelled 'Loglines' try this link https://www.stage32.com/profile/99773/Screenplay/I-CALL-IT-HOME-0 or this one https://www.stage32.com/sites/stage32.com/files/assets/screenplay/99773/... I think that should work I CALL IT HOME was originally going to be called FETTUCCINE and FREGNE FRIES ... but ... that only "kills" in a sciosciaro dialect by the end of the first season
