New shorts added to my profile page

I've added four new shorts to my page, if you have a few mins, are bored, or like shorts... well I'd sure appreciate the read. Glitch - A desperate wife takes extreme measures to save her husband using unstable, bootleg technology that is determined to see her fail. The L Equation - A talented mathematician slaves over an equation that could change the very face of humanity, as her dedicated assistant struggles to express his true feelings. Disruption - An uptight tax lawyer seeks professional help when her life starts to unravel due to a disruptive dream, leading her through a dark place to find an extreme salvation. Stuffed - A distraught wife collapses under the weight of her husbands infidelity and embarks on a mission to even the score. Thanks Anthony

Rosa Lafantastica

The technology wants to see her fail? For real? Is that sci fi? :-)

Anthony Cawood

Yep it's Sci-fi, I like near future tales with 'awkward' technology.

Jean-Pierre Chapoteau

Why are all of your protags female? Are you sexist?? ;)

Anthony Cawood

They were all male in last few, balancing it up :-)

Rosa Lafantastica

You have a really enjoyable screenwriting style, though some of your genres are just not my cup of tea. I left comments on your page. I went back to some of your older stuff, and I really liked "Graft"! What a great ending!

Anthony Cawood

@Ardua - many thanks for taking a look at my shorts, really appreciate you taking the time and having a look at even those that weren't to your normal genre tastes (mine do tend to run a little black). Graft - thanks, glad it worked so well for you, a lot of people have given it good feedback, unfortunately not the cheapest one to film ;-) Anthony

Rosa Lafantastica

You know, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "The X-Files" both had some pretty cheap special effects when they launched!

Jean-Pierre Chapoteau

So a lot of your scripts play out pretty gruesome, Anthony? Okay, I'm going to have to read them all! Tomorrow though. Most of my script are the same. Well, not really the ones that I posted on here. But I can relate.

Anthony Cawood

@Jean-Pierre, out of the three mentioned, 3 are dark, and two of them have their gruesome moments... the other is a Love story (L Equation), nothing gruesome there ;-)

Anthony Cawood

@Alle - wasn't really asking for a logline review, but thanks anyway. Glitch - yes the techology, dont agree re extreme measures, her measures are extreme and I like the term. L Equation, you are being obtuse 'change the face of humanity' is a perfectly reasonable phrase, unrelated to faces... would you level the same at 'wipe off the face of the earth'? Disruption, there's no HE in the logline, her life starts to unravel is a little vague, perhaps, but hopefully en enticement to read the short script though. You don't become god through the achievement of salvation. Not in my universe anyway. Stuffed - hmm, i was trying to vary from a more normal 'under the stress', but anyone who has suffered cheating may consider it a weight - may re-look at. Mission to even the score... well people often experience growth after undertaking missions, but if its the even the score piece, no you may be correct, but who says my character, hell bent on revenge, has to grow? Anyway enough on loglines, don't think there's any producers looking here,, but my short scripts themselves are up to read though. Alle, have you put anymore of yours up yet?

Tony Mcgrady

For what it's worth mate I read the one with the bird under the bed. I really like it. Just like some of the birds on here, off their heads, and need a good bunk up.

Anthony Cawood

Thanks Tony, does your opinion change if I reveal I'm a West Ham fan? ;-)

Tony Mcgrady

Biggest load of shit I've ever read

Anthony Cawood

LOL

Tony Mcgrady

Haha wtf I thought you being a LEEDS fan was bad enough, where did it all go wrong?

Anthony Cawood

Tony - From Leeds but support Hammers, my Dad was mortified when I chose my own team at 9 years old, was the 70s and all Leeds did was kick the cr*p out of opponents...

Anthony Cawood

@Damien - thanks for taking a read and glad you liked.

Tony Mcgrady

Pmsl that's when it was a mans game, and you chose to support a soft southern team. No wonder your dad was mortified. Lol do you get to go much?

Anthony Cawood

@Tony - Try and get to two or three a season down there, and the occasional away game up here. @Damien, no not read the screenplay but have seen the film, great, my Dad hates it though and the name Clough ;-)

Tony Mcgrady

@Damian Anfield! Poor girl. What sort of dad does that to hes child. Haha, better than chelsea tho. Lol

Phillip E. Hardy, Prolifique

Anthony: Rather liked "Bump in the Night" sir. Well done!

Tony Mcgrady

Hahahahaha blimey I bet your wife was relived it was a girl.

Tony Mcgrady

@Anthony I can't seem to find where your shorts are now

Anthony Cawood

@Tony - https://www.stage32.com/profile/179396/scripts_screenplays @Phillip - many thanks, film maker in South Africa has optioned that one. @Chris - many thanks, glad you liked my current fave.

Anthony Cawood

@CJ - thanks for the support, I didn't want to humble-brag and say that, but yes... I don't have any issues (normally) with my loglines garnering reads and getting the shorts sold/optioned. @Alle - I hadn't meant to engage in a debate, I ws merely explaining my thoughts on your feedback. Remember, I didn't actually ask for views on my loglines in the first place. I think you are bringing too much of your own experience and slightly odd views to the party here, you comment re 'face of the earth' is nothing more then intentionally obtuse! And sorry I meant real producers, not someone vanity producing their own scripts. I did ask for views on the scripts themselves, so thanks to all that read that bit of my post and have commented on the scripts. I really appreciate the reads and support.

Phillip E. Hardy, Prolifique

Anthony: Alle has left her mark on this thread; and I believe in the long run, it's been more fun because of it.

Anthony Cawood

@Phillip - well things always get lively! @John - I think that's a compliment ;-)

Anthony Cawood

Thanks to all who read my scripts, left feedback and sent me messages... much appreciated.
