Good morning everyone. After 25 years working in the theatre as an actor, director, and playwright, I am transitioning to film. In Ohio today in pre-production for my first film as writer/director, shooting next month. Also working on a radio serial and developing a web series. Have a great day doing whatever creative things you are up to.

Thank you all! Lamont: it is a story about two young screenwriters whose film is produced in Hollywood. Over the course of the process, it slowly becomes a MUCH different film as the agents, director, and producers all make their mark on it.

Hi Joey. I'm in LA, having moved from NYC, transitioning from theater to film, as well. There's definitely a learning curve, both professionally and culturally.:-) I wish you all the best.

Marlene. Congratulations on your move! I agree about the learning curve. I did a bunch of shorts as an actor with veteran filmmakers and just watched and learned and helped. Very fun to write and direct in this visual medium. Glad to be connected on our journeys!

Good morning, Joey. I'm glad to be connected, too. And great way to go. As you know, when you start out in theater, you learn about and do everything, from running the light board (I'm talking pre-computerized) to sewing costumes and painting sets, and it's that experience that enables you to be a good collaborator So, after I'd done some acting roles in films, I volunteered to work on set as a "whatever" (even just going to get the donuts:-)), just so I could learn more about how it works on the other side of the camera. I did that on several shorts and music videos, and finally art directed three full-length (22-min) episodes for a web series. At that point, I figured I'd done enough.:-)

I am developing a web series over the summer, Marlene, so I will be deeply immersed in researching that format. Which web series did you art direct for? I have a feeling I am going to be watching a lot of them.

Probably so.:-) It's called "Disorganized Zone" and is a bit of a take-off on "Twilight Zone." You can check it out and see the trailer at http://disorganizedzone.com.
I look forward to checking it out soon. Thanks and continued success!
