Introduce Yourself : Greetings.. by Oscar Lee Freeman

I am Oscar from West Palm Beach, Florida. I am a licensed CPA, but I’ve always had this desire to write. I started out reading tens of books, attending workshops and festivals to get acclimated to the field. Eventually I ended up in the UCLA Extension Writer’s Program where I completed both the FEATURE WRITING and TELEVISION WRITING programs. While attending UCLA I completed two television specs (“Modern Family” and “Hell On Wheels”). Most recently, I provided coverage as an intern for Atmosphere Entertainment MM out of Los Angeles. I’m working on additional writing samples (a pilot and a feature). Currently I’m working on my television pilot, “Goons Down 4 Life.” It was pitched by an actor friend to an executive at CBS Television where it received a positive response and now a follow-up meeting with SHOWTIME is in the works. Not having my own manager I’m working with my friend and his manager to prepare a “leave behind” document (if anyone has an example I would love to study it, thanks). Lastly, I’ve participated in some of the webinars on this site and they were great. There are a lot good people on this site and love how everyone is very supportive of others. All the best.
