Screenwriting : Looking to learn the rules here. by Robert Harris

Robert Harris

Looking to learn the rules here.

I am new to the Stage 32 community. Can anyone share with me the protocol for having my script "The Visionnaires" read? It is a science fiction action adventure. Do I attach a small outline, a few taglines or maybe excerpts from the work itself? I's like to know what is acceptable. Really looking for some positive feedback to my work.

Anthony Cawood

Hi Robert... not sure there' any hard and fast rules, but many people add their script, or an extract from it, to their profile pages and then ask people if they'd read it... often as a 'swap' where you read someone elses script in return.

David Levy

You could post it in the LOGLINES section of your profile. This way, the more people you connect with on here who view your profile might be inclined to view what projects you have listed.

Tony Cella

I'll take a look if you'd be open to critiquing one of my scripts. How long is it?

Robert Harris

Thank you all for your suggestions. Once I figure out how to post to the loglines section, I'll post some excerpts from my work. It is a Science fiction, action adventure trilogy.

Mary-Helen Norris

I love Science Fiction! I'd be willing to take a look or bounce ideas around if you would like.

Jabari Sandy

I'll read your script if you read one of mine, if interested message me.

Hi! 1st logline. Then treatment. Never send more than that. Never tell them too much. Remember we are amoung vultures. Keep ending a secret. Then enter logline competitions. Then screenplay contests, with feedback. Or hire an agent. Copyright all material before you send to anyone.

Robert Harris

Thank you Lydea Torres. I will heed your warnings. My work is copywrited though.

Robert Harris

I posted my logline and synopsis in my profile. Let me know if this sounds interesting to anyone.
