Hi there. I've written a script which I'd really like to see made into a movie. To prove the concept I'm animating it. All of it, alone! I wonder if I can help any screenwriters frustrated at not seeing their best work come to fruition? I'm Blabbing about it on Blab.im. (It's a DIY course). My own sizzle reel for proof of concept: https://www.stage32.com/media/1247070627559386947 Part 1 (An introduction) is here. https://blab.im/steve-payne-3d-animation-for-screenwriters-a-primer-scre... I'm sharing the journey and I'd be delighted if I can help others see their work in storyboard or animated form. Talk to me. :)

Steven - I have to say you have one of the BEST Stage 32 profiles I have ever seen (and I've seen a lot!) I have to agree with Julie here. Just brilliant all the way around.

Thanks so much Richard and Julie - a real encouragement. Well I hope to share my journey in a very practical way for other screenwriters to at least get their screenplay made into a storyboard without relying on anyone else. :) I'll post the series here as well if that's ok.

This is simply too cool, Steve! Awesome!

Thanks Richard. Perhaps we'll see some more movies made off the back of screenwriters prepared to go the extra mile and show their concepts visually? I'll make another one tomorrow and post it here.

In this DIY world, more and more screenwriters are taking matters into their own hands. It's something I talk about often on On Stage With RB.

Yes indeed. I've watched On stage with RB all the way back to Feb of this year (I joined in July). Tons of great info. Thanks so much. For anyone else reading this thread I encourage you to view the back catalogue. I'm going to put the tutorial series under the screenwriting category as that's the intended audience. :)

Thanks Rene. If you break a problem down it its constituent parts it suddenly doesn't seem so impossible.

I take it you're talking about for animated projects. I find for live actionn projects doing a reading with great actors, videoing it then cutting that down to a sizzle reel is really effective.

@Bill Hi there. I'm talking to screenwriters who are frustrated that their project is not being made visually, and showing them how to at least storyboard it, perhaps even animate it, in order to "prove the concept", and/or get noticed in a different way from only submitting/pitching a script. :)

Interesting. I'm out of advertising where storyboards are everything. And when I got into television and script writing -- I always felt something was lacking by not having storyboards for scripts.
