Hey Jason, I think you should basically try and score as many no and low-budget films as possible. Get a simple website with a premium name that delivers straight to your market - so instead of jlopezmusic, something like scoresforcheap.com or indiefilmmusicnow.com. This isn't very 'artist' but it is very professional and makes you seem more official. It also helps with SEO. On the site, have an easy to operate music player that has music clips tagged by genre, mood, etc. Allow demo versions to be downloaded so filmmakers can put them in their films. Also figure out what your pricing is going to be for composing original stuff so when a producer contacts you, you can say "I charge x" rather than "What is your budget?" which is a turnoff.
