Just wanted to formally introduce myself to the community! I've been writing for most of my life, but after 22 years as a freelance court reporter, I've begun to self-publish a series (two in the last six months) with the court reporter as a main character. They're getting nice reviews so far, but what now? I don't have a clue about the business, marketing, promotion, etc., but at this stage in my life, I know it's all about networking. I want to write for a living, so I'm here to learn from the valuable experience of others, but I'm happy to share anything that anyone might find helpful from my special skill set. As a court reporter, I can offer something no one else can in this industry: a very quick turnaround on a script from audio or video. :D Happy Friday!

Hey Kathy, this is Beth from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Authoring & Playwriting to Introduce Yourself, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!

I hear you... if you wanted to enter into the audiobook arena, you could check out ACX.. I'm currently working on a narration project through there.
