Warner Bros. has to rethink / reevaluate because their current plan is not working. Superheroes are not perfect, off course not but the doom & gloom that Snyder and his team are putting out there is not working
I don't know how I would write a movie like this better. It seems necessary to make the movie about two superheroes against each other, but how to do it so that the movie ages well is an interesting question.
You guys are so wrong. But I've had these discussions so many times I can't do it here too. But I will say I am sick and tired of people whinging that it's all doom and gloom. You have to be pretty superficial to be upset about the tone. As a big Superman fan what they did with him in BvS is only what I've been waiting for for decades. I don't need any more spoon-fed Marvel films. I wish you guys didn't either.

Thanks, Vince! That's a good look.

I tried to watch BVS two nights ago at a friend's house and could only make about 30 minutes.

I worry that folk doing this have never seen the original DC comics. They were/are exciting and fun.

Dark and gloomy is fine but add some light

Dan, your standards are crazy lofty. 5th highest opening of all-time is not good enough? :-)

So is this why there are so many alcoholic screenwriters?

It's ruined the DC universe. In my opinion Nolan's trilogy was never going to be topped. They should've left Batman alone for a few more years.
It's all about the team the director, writers, etc

Like I said, I don't mind doom and gloom but make it good
