Hi All, I'm a NYC-based screenwriter/filmmaker working in 16mm and Super 8 (although not opposed to digital at all). I have done some shorts so far but I've got a feature-length script for which I'm looking for a producer, and one in the oven. I also do film programming for NYC revival houses and by day I'm a photo editor. So I've got both feet immersed in film, still and moving. :-) Looking forward to meeting you and seeing your work. Cheers, David Savage

time consuming to shoot on film. Du Art labs still around in NYC? Many Colorists can fix anything to look like 'film.' good luck
Hey Dan -- True, although I find the trouble is worth it. DuArt no longer does developing but there are other labs around town that have popped up to fill that void. Give it a shot! ;-)
i gotcha but from what I can tell or see, there is no advantage to using 16mm or 8mm. The cameras are old, noisy. I had an Arri 16s (I sold). Its like using a typewriter now. There is no video assist, cant see what you are shooting immediately. Then the processing, transferring, waiting costs. ANyways, if 16mm & 8mm film works for you and your craft, go for it. reinvent :)
