Apologies if this program has already been posted. The WB Emerging Film Directors Workshop provides an opportunity for emerging filmmakers to gain an education and experience in the studio filmmaking process. Through the program, the Studio will also have the opportunity to continue its tradition of working with and nurturing the talents of the best emerging filmmakers. DIRECT YOUR OWN SHORT FILM Over the course of the program, each participant will have the resources and funding to direct their own original short film. The entire production process will be structured to mimic the feature production process, so that participants have the opportunity to craft their stories utilizing every aspect of studio filmmaking, from pitch to post. https://filmworkshop.warnerbros.com/
This sounds interesting. Thank you for posting, Regina. It is a hell-of-alot better than the last directors workshop I came across. It might've been HBO or WB. The digital work submitted must be either a feature film that was distributed theatrically by a distributor, a short film that screened at one of the top tier film festivals, or a commercial that aired nationally. I thought to myself, "So, this is reserved for people who already made it. And why would they even bother with this?" Lol. This workshop here, however, seems to be more inclusive of people still trying to find their way into the business.
Better? Maybe simply different, with different goals?
Yup. One has a goal of uplifting talent that already got their shot more or less. The other is giving talent an opportunity no matter their previous success.
gotta submit to this!
i didnt make it :(
