I am wondering if it is just me, or if other have this same type of issue. Recently I completed, if you call it that since nothing is ever perfect, the show bible and pilot episode of #ONAIR. I spent just under a hear completing research, building relationships and working out a lot of little details for a TV show that everyone who reads it tells me is an amazing concept. Now, I am trying to move on to the other 4 tv/film project I have started along with the Novel I have been writing. I seem to be struggling with focusing on them and keep coming back to the completed project to change "one little thing". Does anyone else struggle with putting projects down to work on others?

nothing is ever perfect. however based on my experiences, I think Writers try too hard and they try to conquer or reinvent Entertainment. Focus on 1 craft and do it well. Make $$. Sell. Get Repped. Bouncing around from Film,TV, Novel, Stage will confuse your brain and Writing.
Aray I have outlined most of them. Still working to outline the latests project. Still makes it difficult with the one project being reviewed and notes coming in. I am glad to see I am not alone in the process though.
No disrespect intended, but it sounds like you just need a little kick in the pants to get moving onto the next project. If so......KKKKKKKIIIIIIIIICCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK! Good luck and happy writing!

In stead of shooting for perfection I shoot for mediocre.
I think some writers personally "bond" deeper with some projects more than others. I've had times where there is one particular finished script, I just cannot let my mind put on the back burner. Not all, but a select few. I could be out shopping in a supermarket and a "what if " scenario suddenly creeps into my head, compelling me to feel guilty I could have done it better this way or that way. We need to move on from finished work....Needs Must etc etc..... Yet as artists we cannot always dictate what enthrals us in any given moment . Yep Mark, I've done the same ruminating, with regards jumping back to projects in the middle of embarking on others!
I agree with Dan M. Make a business plan of sort and focus on one thing at a time to try and reach your goal. Novels are easier to get published so maybe you might want to start with finishing that first. Then if it was me I would write a lower budget film script and then go to writing for tv but keep in mind television is a smaller market and they like to do things in house.
iI did this all kinds of backwards. HA! I already have completed an entire TV bible (5 seasons) and pilot, in the middle of the first book of a trilogy, and started several movie scripts. Thank you all for the advise.

Mark if you are writing a trilogy and later decide to adapt it into a screenplay don't write all three because nobody is going to even read two and three unless the first one is successful.
