So I limit my time outside and appreciate the window A/C unit we got from Freecycle.com. And that's where I am now - inside with the A/C on. My writing has been stalled lately. We're in the process of moving house. Half the stuff is packed and while we can still function it becomes more and more like camping out. After the Revolution (that's what we call the move) and a bit of nesting, I'll be back at it again. In the meantime, a writer group I belonged to recently brought in and discussed first lines. We're focused on fiction, but first lines are important in any creative work. So. Books, movies, plays - what are your favorite first lines? The first line in my novel, Grants Ferry: It was a Thursday. Check out the rest of it here: https://www.amazon.com/Grants-Ferry-David-Chase/dp/1477538313?ie=UTF8&ke...
Hi David, always good to see you here. Is freecycle paying you for product placement?... :) My portable AC is not doing enough cooling. I'm tempted to leave my door open all day for the cool breeze. The New Yorker in me thinks it's weird. :) Good luck with your Revolution. Moving houses must be hard. Man, how heavy are houses? ;)
