Although, Im not ready to pitch. I was very glad to see stage 32 bring more producers and agents looking for urban content...I know my audience. Its the difference between those that see straight out of compton vs Revenant...I sent an email a few months back asking for more diversity for pitching ...I will take that as they listened to me!!..lol

Shaunda, EVERYONE is looking for urban content. Well, that's perhaps a slight exaggeration, but with the current gigantic success of Will Packer, Shonda Rhimes, Lee Daniels, etc., as well as new Film and/or TV development deals for LeBron, Tavis, Viola, Kerry, John Legend, etc., I promise you that "Hollywood" is more open than ever to diversity. They have to see a business model that works, but many, many people are looking for urban/diverse content. It's really exciting.
Regina: What exactly is "urban content?"
Just following the OP's lead.

geared or catered to African Americans...
Only a slight exaggeration when I say that everyone wants diverse stories in the current market: Yesterday's put pilot announcement: http://deadline.com/2016/08/nbc-family-honor-cop-family-drama-nkechi-car...

Shaunda...I hear you. I wish I was in your area. If this means anything...the feature I am writing, the diversity of characters is beyond measure and something I am striving for. A real reflection of society, not a slanting to one direction or another. At least...that is the goal. I think all of us need to look at our stories, and see if we are slanting them...and work on fixing that. This world is too diverse, to reflect mostly one group of people!
@regina I get what you are saying..Its becoming more inviting for diverse and urbam content....I just really want to get my scripts ready for those producers..

I'm a bit of a traditionalist here... "Get your scripts ready" via a combo of winning contests, investing in script notes, and then signing with a manager who will help you put the icing on the cake before going to those top tier producers. But that's just my 2 cents.
