Lightwave 3D, Poser, & Daz Animation Users

Hello Stage 32, I am trying to connect all of the animators that are using these compatible programs. We need to know our peers and share best practices. If your expertise covers any or all these programs please get in contact with me here on Stage 32.

Mark Ratering

If I gave you video of something can you add effects to that? I.E. Spirits coming out of rocks...rocks falling on a person?

Robert P. Davenport II

Producing either or both visual effect with animation is of course possible to do. The length of the shots and the format of their delivery are facts I would need to know. To produce a successful visual effect the artist needs to understand the view of the client and what level of realism or fantasy they are expected to achieve.

Mark Ratering

The shot is real not fantasy. Length of shot A) Spirits 1 min. B) Rocks falling... 1 min. Thanks.

Robert P. Davenport II

1440 frames for 1 minute @24fps or 1800 frames for 1 minute @30fps so a total of either 2880 frames or 3600 frames of vfx for two minutes.

Mark Ratering

Video Shot on Cannon 6D or Sony ASii.

1080p? Sounds interesting. Do you have storyboards or art department sketches of what you are looking for?
