Screenwriting : Selling your screenplay by Antoine Therrien Chevalier (Anton Knight)

Selling your screenplay

I'd like to learn a lot about the subject. Do you have websites, a resource person, etc., anything that could help me. I'm a novice screenwriter who has had some success in film festivals and I'd like to move on to the second level, you know! Thanks you. :)

Antoine Therrien Chevalier (Anton Knight)

I would like to sell my screenplays of short films and feature films so that they are produced and realized. If you have adequate script books or websites to teach me the steps needed to become a professional screenwriter, share them with me, please. For a scripting software, I found one (CELTX).

(My short films and screenplays have passed the stage of the festivals and they are gaining some success.)

Shahnawaz/ Shaan

I would love to see the synopses of your scripts. If I might find one or more of them interesting I will approach a financier.

Erik A. Jacobson

You need an agent or manager. If you've done well at Film Festivals that shouldn't be a problem.

Anthony Cawood

I think Antoine is struggling a little with the use of his second language... and people mis-understanding what he's getting at.

I believe what he's saying is that he's written a few scripts, using Celtx, and entered them into some competitions where he's had some degree of success.

What he's asking for is any resource, books, websites, etc that will help him move up a level in selling his screenplays (as it's the title of the thread).

Antoine - this site is a good place to start learning, also check out and consider listing your scripts on the following sites

Inktip

SimplyScripts

Script Revolution

There are also some good articles around on the web and some ebooks on Amazon, I've written some that you can find, and William C. Martell too.

Dan Guardino

Kat. Really? Sounds like you were never in. All he did was ask a simple question which is no reason someone here should receive such a rude response.

Antoine Therrien Chevalier (Anton Knight)

Absolutely, English is my second language and maybe I misunderstood. Sorry.

Anthony Cawood is right. I'm just trying to give some information about myself that I have completed the step of film festivals. I'm ready for something else, alright.

Kat, I think you don't know me and you don't know what cinema really is, here in Quebec (CANADA). It's an art a lot more difficult than in the United States. It's a fact. And like I said at the beginning, I'm a beginner. I don't understand very well the film industry yet.

Thanks you for your answers. I really really appreciate it.
