Rejections aren't usually a great experience, but it happened to me. After a successful pitch to London Alley via Virtual PItchfest, their final answer was a "no". But there's a little more to the story. My initial contact was with a woman named Jocelyn Cooper, who, it turns out, is pretty darned TERRIFIC. Why do I say that?
Well, for starters, instead of the usual "please send it to this email address" with no reply of receipt, Ms. Cooper actually WROTE ME BACK to acknowledge receipt of the screenplay and told me to give her a few weeks. WOW. That never happened to me before. Well, after two months, I decided to reach out, and guess what? She wrote me BACK!
Not only did she write me back, but sent a DETAILED email about the weaknesses of the screenplay and what she thought I needed to do to improve it. I was AMAZED. In my experience, it's always been the old "Not what we're looking for, but thanks". Jocelyn did MORE than that. And she didn't have to. London Alley may not have wanted my screenplay, but I walked away with a good taste in my mouth. Jocelyn is good people and I wish her and London Alley all the success in the world as they branch out into feature films!
Now that is a good story. :)

Thanks, Debbie! After a few years of rejections, it's easy to get sour on the whole process. Jocelyn Cooper restored a little of my faith with her response.

Had similar experience here with Happy Writers First 10. I like feel good "no" stories! :)
