I am trying to develop a non -scripted show, and I am currently putting together materials to present to execs in the near future. I am wondering if I should copyright my materials, and how I do so. Can a simple idea be copyrighted if it is developed past the thought process and onto paper? How?

To understand what can and cannot be copyrighted, start by Googling unscripted format copyright protection and similar search terms. Also take a look at all the posts in the Screenwriting Forum about copyrighting your material. There are many, many posts.
