Do you want to network with people who have projects to develop, or to meet others in development? If the former, I think any film networking event is good for finding new projects. I currently live in a smaller market and the biggest thing holding us back is not having many producers who understand the development process. And the few that do mostly just develop their own work. So anyone who knows about that side of filmmaking is going to be a hot commodity at any party.
Thanks for this! I would like to network with both. Plus, I'm always looking to help people in smaller markets develop their projects. I think it's fun and the best way for me to learn everything about the development process.

The LAFTV meet up is a good place to meet people working in all aspects of film. There are always people developing projects there.
